This illustrated talk by Bob Burns G3OUU will review two methods of PCB design commencing with a very old manual graph paper method which he had used both privately and commercially for many years followed by a modern CAD software package called Sprint Layout V6 which can emulate the graph paper method. Included will be some live on-screen demonstrations to show how Sprint works and what is required to enable manufacture by an external supplier. The talk will finish with the display of some example PC boards designed with Sprint, manufactured by JLCPCB in Hongkong and populated by Bob.
